School Curriculum

At St Lawrence we advocate learning through first-hand experiences across a broad and balanced range of subjects and areas within a topic-based cross-curricular approach.

We encourage enrichment of the curriculum through educational visits, visitors to the school and special occasions.

We teach reading through immersing the pupils in a wide range of texts.  ‘Jolly Phonics’ and ‘Letters and Sounds’ are used as a basis for teaching phonics.
