We are having a Geography focus in school during the next week-and-a-half with year-groups focussing on a particular continent.  This half-term is full of exciting events and stimulating learning.  Please see the diary for key dates.

Netball Team Triumph

Congratulations to the School Netball team, winners of the Mid-Sussex Championships.  We wish them the best of luck for the all-Sussex finals.

SIAMS Report

Every 5 years, the Church of England sends an inspector into school for one day to comment on the 'Christian distinctiveness' of the school in respect of church criteria that do change from inspection to inspection.  We are pleased that both RE and Worship have been reported as "outstanding".  Please click here for the full report.

Parking

8 June 2018

May we remind you not to park on the yellow zig-zag lines outside the school when dropping children off or collecting them as this reduces visibility for our school crossing patrol.

Lost Property

We continue to deal with a lot of lost property .  To reduce this as much as possible we would like to encourage you to ensure that all items of clothing, bags, lunch boxes, etc, are clearly named so that they can easily be returned to their owner.

Attendance

Well done to the following classes who have won the attendance trophy over the last fortnight:  w/b 21/05/18 - Plum 100%, Ash 99.7%;  w/b 14/05/18 - Cherry 100%, Maple & Ash 100%.

School Visits

May I thank the PTA committee and all those who help at and support PTA events for their superb fund-raising activities.  The PTA has just contributed £16,000 towards the cost of new interactive black plasma screens so that all classrooms have this latest technology rather than the interactive whiteboards that have served us so well previously.  We are now negotiating to buy more trolleys of laptops for use across the school.  [read on]...
