Last week, 27 different Key Stage 2 children had the opportunity to represent St Lawrence across a number of sporting events.

Ten children from Year 4 attended the Mid-Sussex Active Basketball festival, which took place at Haywards Heath 6th Form College. After taking part in a range of activities run by the college students, they had the opportunity to put these skills to the test in a series of matches against other schools.

A group of Year 5 children attended a Bee Netball tournament, which was hosted and organised by Burgess Hill School for Girls. The event presented them with lots of match-play experience and they even enjoyed some well-deserved hospitality after the event!

Seven children from across Years 4-6 took part in the Mid-Sussex Indoor league competition at The Triangle. The fast and furious format of indoor cricket provided them with lots of challenges and learning opportunities, but their overall performance as a team allowed them to progress to the next round of the competition after some very closely fought matches.

As a school, we would like to say a particular thank you to all those adults who helped to ensure our children could attend these events.

With a number of events planned for the next half-term, we look forward to seeing lots more of the school’s children represent #TeamStLawrence!
