Y1 Owl and Raptors visit St Lawrence
On the morning of Friday 23rd January 2026, the Year 1 pupils will have the opportunity to participate in a birds of prey workshop. This will link with our key text The Owl who was afraid of the dark.
Children will have the opportunity to see a range of different birds of prey, handle owls with the assistance of trained falconers if they wish and hear facts and information from the experts.
The cost of the workshop will be £3.26 for which we ask for a voluntary contribution towards. Please make your payment online using your Scopay account alternatively by cash or debit card at the school office. Please label any cash payments clearly and place in the “trips” box. Please make your payment by Friday 16th January 2026.
Although the contribution is voluntary, we do need to point out that we do need contributions in order for the workshop to go ahead. We appreciate that some families may find it particularly difficult to contribute all or part of the suggested sum and no child will be treated differently if this is the case. If you feel that you are in such a position, please do not hesitate to contact us in confidence to discuss whether some suitable arrangements can be made to cover the cost of your child’s participation.
