Y6 trip to "Wicked" performance
On Wednesday 20th May 2026, Year 6 will be visiting the Apollo Theatre Victoria in London to watch the musical Wicked!
Weather permitting, we will leave school at approximately 10:00am, arriving in London with enough time to eat lunch in St James’ Park and see Buckingham Palace before the show.
If weather is inclement, we would be leaving school at approximately 11.30am to take the train from Hassocks train station up to Victoria for the 2.30pm matinee.
The show will be finished by 5.15pm and we anticipate being back at Hassocks Train station for 6.45pm. Please collect your child from the Hurstpierpoint side of Hassocks Station. It is essential that your child is collected from the station as no child will be allowed to walk home alone. Please also advise us with prior notice if someone other than yourselves will be collecting your child. The train times given are based on 2026 train times and may alter slightly nearer to the trip.
The children will require a packed lunch (no fizzy drinks please), as well as a hearty snack to eat on the way home and enough water for the day. It is requested that all those attending wear full school uniform including comfortable footwear for walking.
The cost of the trip will be £21.09, this does not include the return train fare as we will require confirmation of your child’s attendance before we purchase these, a further communication will be issued once numbers are known. We need to ask for a voluntary contribution towards the cost of this theatre trip. Please contribute via Scopay or by cash/debit card at the school office. If you pay online, we will take this as consent for your child to take part in the trip and as your agreement to the terms set out in the attached consent form. You will not need to complete the consent form after reading the terms. Please note that all payments are non-refundable unless the school cancels the trip for any reason.

Although the contribution is voluntary, we are unable to subsidise trips as we have in the past and we may be forced to cancel them if enough funds are not secured to cover the cost. If you are unable to contribute the sum requested please contact your class teacher in confidence, this will also enable us to illuminate future correspondence about funds being issued to you.
If there has been any change to the medical or contact details that the school already holds for your child, please contact us immediately in order that we can update our records before the trip.
